President Obama, (You gotta like this Guy)

Pro healthcare reform, Con healthcare reform; Pro TARP, against TARP; Pro Democrat – Pro Republican, you gotta like the Obama style. Tonight, during the Presidential Press conference on the Health Care Reform Program (a very serious and high impact piece of legislation) I witnessed three (3) specific actions that Obama implemented in his press conference that amount to the very reasons why he was elected. (Every Politician, CEO or Front-man should note).

1.) He gave a very clear directive of his roll with complete confidence and without hesitation “this IS my job and I AM the President”. (this is the most Presidential statement I have heard since Ronald Regan)

2.) He provided compelling stories, shared his personal perspectives and added a true-life element to support his position. (Great salesmanship technique).

3.) He is both confident and poised enough to laugh. During the Press Conference – he recognized a humorous moment (discussing his ability to break into the White House)and he laughed. Relaxed, living in the moment and confident is the reason he could allow himself to have a "human moment".

You may, or may not like President Obama's Politics – but you just gotta like this guy!

Michael is responsible for MJ’s Death

Ok – I know this is going to upset the masses. I know what I am about to suggest is not politically correct. I recognize people will notify me of my insensitivity to write this blog within 24hrs of Michael Jackson's Funeral. But I need to make one single point. Michael Jackson, a 50 yr old man, father to 3 beautiful children and an Icon too many (I loved his music), is responsible for his own actions.

Why? Why do we always have to look for a scapegoat when an episode or event in our lives does not go as we had planned, expected, desired or wished? Much of the Media Buzz and internet Twittering makes reference to his doctor(s) and the type(s) of drugs he may have obtained. Suddenly there is a cry echoing throughout the world “get the doctor – he caused the death of our beloved entertainer". The point I am making, Michael was responsible to Michael, his children and his fans. No one has reported an individual forcing MJ to ingest highly powerful drugs, narcotics or prescription sleep aids. However, there have been several reports of Michael requesting drugs and requesting medical assistance for the purpose of inducing extreme narcotics into his system. Clearly the forethought on the part of Michael Jackson to request medical assistance in obtaining and executing these methods tells me; 1.) He knew the drugs were life threatening and 2.) He was actively facilitating relationships to obtain the drugs. The requests by Michael Jackson of medical professionals and his subsequent actions remain the choice of Michael Jackson. We his fans, along with his family and children have all lost. But the lost is most dramatically endured by his children. MJ’s death was generated by Michael Jackson’s decision to exercise his influence of popularity and wealth towards those who would give him what he desired. Not the other way around. I am sorry for all who are impacted and I will miss him too.

Sarah –Sarah!

Can’t figure out why Sarah Palin just resigned? Oh wake-up! Ok, your kids are the butt of late night Television jokes. The RNC doesn’t embrace you. You make 125K a year as Governor of a State that few live in and few travel too. Now, do you continue on this track for the next 20 months or take what’s behind door number 2.

Door Number2! You have a book release and book tour beginning in the next few weeks. The tour will make you more money than your position as Governor. You will certainly meet and build many more alliances with people in the Continental United States than in Alaska. You are no longer obligated to tote the Republican Party line. You will obtain speaking engagements with a fee range of 10,000.00 to 15,000.00 per 2 hour speech. Hey, you might even create a larger base of supporters. But either way, you and your family enjoy less hassle, fewer restraints, more flexibility while making 2-3x’s the money.

So what door do you pick?

Like others all across the world, when I heard the news of Michael Jackson's death - I thought; two icons of the same generation dying on the same day. We join the Millions who mourn the death of Farah Fawcett.

Farah, that name is all anyone needed to say and everyone for over 3 decades knew exactly the person you were referring too. She was an icon of beauty, an icon to a generation and her documentary is iconic to outlining her battle with cancer. We will miss her, not only for the smile and the beautiful locks of hair (ok, most of us were jealous on those two points) but because of the spirit that lived within her. She was and remains a “special Angel”.

Yeah Jon and Kate plus 8 get’s the ranking the kids deserve!

I was just reviewing Yahoo Buzz and Jon and Kate plus 8 are getting a BIG BUZZ DOWN. Bottom line, 2 points: 1.) finally people are voicing the opinion that they don’t care about the reality show 2.) If you read my blog re: JK8 in the archives, the kids will be the winners!

JK8 will have a one hour show tonight. Please, just don’t tell me the network is going to run the show to document the divorce or counseling elements of this nightmare. The kids are going to be traumatized enough in the years to come from the Time/Life infomercial DVD sales. Does the series have to include the “emotional last season divorce proceedings” – not so much! America is letting this go – I hope the network is listening!

What is this Country’s Affection or infection with Nancy Grace?

For nearly six months (6) months I have been watching this train wreck called the Nancy Grace Show on HLN. The obvious aside, yes,the show provides the network with ratings from Middle-class to lower income America, predominantly women (who otherwise would not watch HLN). I can also further characterize the audience; based upon the “live” questions asked of Ms. Grace, the average educational level of the viewer is sophomoric high school. My point? This is not a typical HLN viewer. So again, I can only assume the heads at HLN are simply bowing to the lowest common denominator - ratings and money. If Nancy’s demo’s are any different than I describe she needs better call-in screening from her producers. My summation, The Nancy Grace Show is a Nightmare and panders only to the lowest reasoning for programming .

Nancy Grace misrepresents nearly every legitimate point made by any of her guests with the exception of those who validate her agenda. Ms. Grace’s style of interviewing is rude and cutting and she demeans all her professional guests regardless if they are fellow Attorneys, Doctors, Producers of her show or experts brought in by her staff. She barely asks a question of anyone (the lady loves to hear herself talk) but when she does ask a question she then prompts her interviewee for her desired response. God help the person who does not provide the answer she is searching to gather. (BTW, this demonstrates her insecurity with professional interviewing skills as well as her deep concern for her perspective on a story/case.)

When it comes to her non-professional or non-broadcast savvy guests (usually a friend or family member of the featured story) she can be equally as cutting and always talks over them. Nancy’s claim to fame comes from three sources; 1.) She had a fiancée killed a couple of decades ago (she is herself a proclaimed victim) 2.) She is a former Atlanta Prosecutor and 3.) She now has twins, which, by the way, she has added to the show in the form of a self narrated family album segment. The family photo element of her broadcast offers her viewers benign family photos to ogle. (Gee, if she only had six more kids the show would still be laughable but not under the pretense of news)

Nancy’s interview skills are atrocious. The Nancy Grace Show (if reviewed carefully) has very little substantial content but provides a significant amount of subjective theories presented as facts. The show is consistently changing Defense attorney’s as counter points to the pointed former Prosecutor. I am sure the rotating Defense attorneys are in large part do to the manner in which they are berated by Ms. Grace. The Nancy Grace show is not News and information programming. This program is a revamp of the Joe McCarthy Committee Meetings of the 1950's. If your case is featured on Nancy Grace - you are guilty! Why have a trial, discussion or a plausable defense? This show is honest on only one point –It is the Nancy Grace Show and it is all about Nancy.

The old joke used to be, “you know you are going to have a bad day if Mike Wallace and a 60 minute crew were in your front office”. The new version needs to be – “you know you will ALWAYS look like an idiot if you appear on the Nancy Grace Show, actually you are an idiot if you do appear on the Nancy Grace Show”. The Entertainment value of Nancy Grace is imagining what the audience looks like? If you could sit on the Broadcast set and view back through the camera lenses, how many doling banjos would you observe? This show appeals to those who not only enjoy watching train wrecks but would actually participate in creating a train wreck for their own entertainment. You think that is harsh? Nancy Grace’s viewers have created this train wreck by watching and providing ratings! – In an attempt to paraphrase a Nancy line; “So let’s unleash the comments”!

Why are Victims often treated as Villains?

I have been watching a lot of News TV as of late. OK, that is mistake number 1. Yet, I really cannot believe the manner in which Cable TV News turns Victims into Villains. Ok, mistake No. 2 – for the ratings, duh! But honestly, where is the sense of journalistic integrity. Here are a few examples of what I have seen on TV beginning with the most exploited.

Casey Anthony is in jail and remains charged for the horrific death of her daughter Caley Anthony. Yet, her parents George and Cindy Anthony have remained a focus by the media, news journalists and neighbors. Let’s just get this straight. George and Cindy are the grandparents of a child who was murdered. These same two indivigauls currently have their daughter in a Florida County Jail facing charges that may generate the death penalty. Further, they have endured Neighbors and citizens protesting in front of their home in shifts 24 hours per day. Every element of their lives have been examined from Georges emotional breakdown, the depositions from a civil case, alleged affairs and comments on who wears the pants in the family. What is up with that? I am surprised these parents/ grandparents are even able to form a word much less a sentence under this much stress. These two people deserve empathy, sympathy, support and privacy from the community. They are Victims not Villains.

Let’s try this one. A mother in Detroit, Jennifer Buchanan, was notified at the same moment as the rest of the world that her daughter Nevaeh Buchanan’s body was found dead near a river by two recreational fishermen. The other evening I was watching an interview on the Nancy Grace show. Nancy was interviewing the grieving Mother Jennifer Buchanan. Ms. Grace spent more time ripping this young mother apart for allowing the circumstances to occur for her daughter’s death than she ever did in gathering real facts. OK, Mom made piss poor judgments regarding friends, associates, boyfriends all the way down the line. But again, the former Prosecutor, now talking head is slamming the Mother who just lost her child. No Points Nancy, – actually big loss of points on the scale of credibility vs. ratings.

The point made in this article is the point I make consistently. The Media provides ratings and opinion, often as fact. They cross the line and turn victims into villains. It is all about a form of entrainment and anyone can become victimized. Don’t believe the same cannot happen to you.

Here comes the Next Generation re-debating the issues!

Carrie Prejean, now former Miss Universe, is appearing on every cable talk show and Television News opportunity available claiming the cornerstone to her demise as Miss Universe is due to her position on traditional marriage. (Miss P. is Pro upholding the exclusivity of marriage between a Man and a Woman).

While in the middle of this tantalizing controversy surrounding Miss Universe, Chas (formally known as Chastity) Bono, daughter now son, of the famed Sonny and Cher Bono announces “he” is under going the rigorous transformation of gender change.

So what is the real point and why are all the News networks, Blogs and Entertainment sites covering this ongoing controversy? The issue is very simple, California Prop. 8. The Ciaos surrounding CA. Prop. 8 have involved legislative action, a popular vote and Court room rulings. All of these efforts have now spilled or been imposed (depending on your perspective) into the lives of everyday people. Are we surprised? Not really, after all within the State of California is the empire that controls a HUGE amount of News, Newsmakers, Television Networks, Radio Networks, Entertainment sources and approximately 12 percent of the entire United States population. There has been Millions of dollars as well as millions of hours expended by both sides to promote their respective agendas.

The point of this article is really not the issue of Tans-gender or Same-sex vs. Traditional Marriage. The Point of this article is to reaffirm the perspective that is rarely discussed. The East coast and West Coast control the media. We in the middle are simply the receivers of the information and are often swayed in the most subtle of manners in believing what is important. Now, with the same precision, technological efforts, and manipulative agendas the “next generation” (a 20 something and a 30 something) will rise to become the icons for the on going debates of the future.

My thoughts, always maintain a healthy skepticism of what you see and hear on produced TV programming. Recognize that Reality TV is not reality and ask yourself if the News as portrayed is relevant to you – or relevant to an agenda. We are the next generation – will we continue to follow the errors of our parents and grandparents by enabling the media to determine our NEWS? Just asking? Why don’t you ask some others?

These 2 ARE the BIGGEST LOOSERS!

THE BIGGEST LOOSERS - NOW EVERYONE KNOWS!

By now everyone has heard about the Shooting at the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC. Before I get into my comments and observations I want to first acknowledge, STEPHEN TYRONE JONES the security guard who was killed during this travesty, our deepest condolences to his family and friends.

We have now seen what amounts to basically the same event in 2 consecutive weeks. First we have a Major Freak, Scott Roeder, kills a Doctor, in his own church because the Doctor runs an Abortion Clinic. Then we have red-neck, no-brain white-trash James Von Brunn shooting at children and other visitors at the Holocaust Museum. Seeing the Parallel? Well the answer is as old as the Philosophers, as rudimentary as the core of this country and been experienced over-and-over again throughout society. Assassins are Cowards and Assassin’s only validate the worthlessness and desperate position of their cause.

People or Person’s who use guns, shooting’s lynching’s, drive-by’s, or high profile platform grandstanding in an attempt to make a point, further a cause or become famous are IDIOTS. So why does the occasional freak still make such an attempt? That answer is really EASY! They are stupid, crazy, un-educated, the poster child of Red Necks, completely disoriented, dysfunctional and spent two much time attempting to find their #2 pencils.

Why do they think that these actions are acceptable? Because they are looking for Martyr status and have no personal perceived value. Instead they place their value to a higher authority – like the KKK or a Religion instead of being Religious. This is why Mr. Roeder and Mr. Von Brunn are sitting at the bottom of the social order and are dismissed by all of society as STUPID along with the extremist groups they represent!

This really does cover the issue! So now you don’t have to listen to the long Dr. Phil answers for the next 3 days!

BTW, on a personal note; “hey ass*)#%, thanks, for once again providing society another reason not to trust middle-aged white men”. – You are disgusting!

American Journalists Sentenced to Labor Camp in N. Korea

Should you have missed (amongst all the other news and ongoing economic reports) this news bulletin regarding two (2) American Journalists captured as illegals, trespassing in N. Korea, this is a mess with multiple variations and perspectives! Just pick one that best represents your position.

Laura Ling and Euna Lee have each been sentenced by a N. Korean court to 12years in a North Korean Prison (Labor Camp). Issues of reporters being captured, in some instances killed, in other instances tortured, kidnapped, held for ransom or in this case of two female reporters being sentenced to a Prison Camp is more than just a passing incident. U.S. Journalists placing themselves in peril and being held captive in some form can become a huge dynamic. But the issues surrounding their captures are complex. This article is for you to evaluate the positions.

Position #1
Professional Journalists are paid by there respective employers (in this case a broadcast company) to obtain stories. Their profession, as with most professions involves a large amount of competition. They compete for stories, insight and perspective that the other News companies will not have and in doing so gain viewership, listenership or readership. Sometimes if a story is strong enough it can facilitate a book deal for the Journalist. The point is, Journalists are paid to get stories and often over extend themselves to build a reputation and with it a career. So when they get caught or abducted should this become an International issue?

Position #2
Although the State Department puts forth numerous warnings to the general public regarding US Citizen Status while traveling in other countries, Journalists somehow feel as though they are in a “special class” because they: a.) believe the first amendment rights extend to anywhere in the world b.) Believe that the story and public awareness of their story surpasses any government’s laws regardless of any country they are penetrating or c.) Are willing to take a risk to get propel their careers.

Position #3
Journalists recognize, in as much as they are Journalists; should they fall into an adverse scenario they will receive unique media attention from their media comrades. Do oversees Journalists count on the fact that should they become abducted or in some way “caught” they posses reasonable knowledge that their peril will be covered, and of course the US State Department will be notified. Therefore Journalists and broadcast companies are emboldened to go wherever and do whatever to get their story. (Again, follow the money and ratings trail).

Position #4
Politicians are Politicians, Heads of State are Heads of State and Governments are Governments. They all want two (2) things: 1.) they need the media, both National and International and 2.) They all have agenda’s. Everyone is aware that Journalists are poking around and all sides use the Media as the Media uses them. Governments need the media to get a message delivered to the public and Journalists need new stories to make a living. When an issue (sentencing of 12 years in N. Korean Prison Camp) involves sanctioning two, young and attractive U.S. Female Journalists the question becomes; Is this simply a negotiation tool by a country that wants to flex their muscles? Is the victimized government whose laws have been broken prepared to reduce a heavy sentencing to a lesser sentence with some political consideration and / or money thus, gaining popular press by being perceived as having been violated and then compassionate?

The point is, no matter what your perspective, these episodes are a real mess. Journalism and Journalist, Politicians and Governments all take advantage of the system. We get to watch the drama unfold. Let us know what you think and what your perspective is by e-mailing us at the e-mail address on this site.

D-Day Arguably America’s Finest Moment

While WWII in actually lasted a total of 7 years and United States involvement was a total of 4 years the stories, movies, books and influence of those times has lasted for decades. So what is it about WWII and specifically D-Day that demands such attention and emotionally moves the World?

I would suggest that D-Day represents America’s finest moment. The corner stone of FDR’s decision to enter into a war on another Continent was not exclusively for our own homeland protection but included the needs of our allied brothers (England & France). The overall strategy in conjunction with the events and the time went to the core of American values. Duty, Honor and Country under God. America spoke in terms of personal value systems and defined what was right or wrong. American’s from Seattle to Miami, from Maine to LA believed it was simply “wrong” for a fascist dictator to over-run neighboring countries and control society’s by imposing marshal law and removing their God given rights. Extermination of an entire race was wrong and Americans throughout the country (yes, God acknowledged Judaic-Christian beliefs) were united on this premise. Average American’s in the 1930’s and 1940’s cherished the premise that we were a free society and embraced the conviction of coming to arms for the protection of ourselves as well as others.

The additional requirements of D-day would have to involve all of America’s resolve. The Strategy would include calculated losses on the part of American Family’s both economical and personal. The Strategy will also include Politics as FDR and Churchill would have to entice Stalin from Russia to break his pact with Hitler. The strategy included facing difficult and an uncertain outcome with uncontrollable weather and bad odds as an accepted part of the D-Day invasion. Again, we should not minimize the knowledge that horrific numbers of Service Men would lose their lives and their families would forever be impacted with grief and further untold hardships. Yet, as a society we agreed to the terms and rallied around not a flag but what that flag represented. They beleived in a better, even divine way of life, something bigger than our own self interests. They beleived in a premise that one man's life was worth giving for the greater good of others. If you dought this, then ask, why? Why would anyone have lauched onto a beach facing the guns that defended it overwelmingly? Why did they not retreat?

I venture to say, by any stretch of today’s standards D-Day would never take place. No Politician or Military General would dare suggest such a bold move. With 24-hours news company’s fighting for ratings and embedded reporters using satellite feeds, cell phone camera’s and computer broadcast servers; the assured transmitted images of the first waves of D-Day blasting "live" into the living rooms of today's techno America would have forced a hasty retreat. The division of values, on-going debate of political needs and political asperations would fragment today’s Nation. Good or Bad, it is safe to say that a Military Attack, secret high-level political negotiations, support of an Ideal based on right & wrong by everyday American’s willing to "take the hit” have concluded.

But to paraphrase a final line from the musical Camelot “for one brief-shining moment there was such a place,” America and American's did not simply posses a philosophical or intellectual agreement of purpose but owned a commitment to purpose. We have all benefited by the commitments of this previous generation and from those who participated in D-day. We will always remember D-day, maybe one day we can regain their commitment.

To all the Service Men and Women of the Armed Forces, to the National Guard's Men and Women to the US Coast Guard of this generation; We thank you for your service! God’s Speed and a hasty return to your Family. For those who have lost family and friends in service to this country– Many thanks from a Humbled and Grateful American.

David Carradine a Generations Icon is Gone

David Carradine a Generations Icon is Gone

Sad, disillusioned, upset are the emotions traveling the internet and news reports upon the release of David Carradine’s suicide. David Carradine was an Icon to those who watched the television Series “Kung fu” in the 1970’s. His career spanned over four decades, with appearances in over 100 films and hundreds more appearances on TV. Yet, Mr. Carradine’s recognition as “Asian Monk” remained as his perpetual Icon. So why is it Big news that David Carradine committed suicide. After all, why it may be news in LA (Hollywood) or amongst the TV actor’s world, why does Boise, Idaho care?

The reason David Carradine’s suicide death impacts so many is because of the enormous success that “Kung fu” had on a generation who waited anxiously each week to observe the Eastern Religion portrayed by David Carradine. Kung Fu was not simply an action show, rather a demonstration of values of a simple monk. The strength of the Character was never about his ability to “kick-butt” but utilizing force only for the protection of others. (Like King Arthur, “Might for Right, vs. Might is Right”) The characters’ values were rarely motivated by personal greed or personal advantage. David’s representation of Eastern Philosophy, values and ethics were presented in a sincere and honest fashion. The audience could have easily laughed at such a concept if it were not for the honest and diligent performance of this actor. Bottom line we watched a actor deliver a performance each week that inspired, educated, delivered a moral victory and exposed us to a new culture with respect and dignity. The out cry from all across the country in response to David Carradine’s suicide is because we remembered and embraced a strong performance delivered in a manner that touched our lives and made an impact.

Now comes the realization that David was not an Eastern monk, but rather a Actor and for whatever reason he felt a pain and/or emptiness that could not be resolved within himself and he decided to stop the pain in the most absolute way possible, killing himself. There will be hordes of speculation as to why, maybe even a TV movie, assuredly some books. But the realities are, yet another person who had fame, money, celebrity demonstrated to the rest of us that these earthly possessions will not provide happiness and peace of mind. That is the ultimate teaching of any Eastern Philosophy. Thank you again, David Carradine.

Ok, RARELY am I impressed with a new tech idea. I am tired of the over-hype under deliver puter buzz. Like 90% of computer users I am completely immune to the typical “geek” hype of some new extreme function that never applies to me. In short, the computer world has to really have something that works for me to make an impression.

Congratulations to Google (can’t believe I am saying this) for facilitating a program that I and most on the internet really give a crap about. Google Wave is just that exciting new product / service. Great news for everyone, the Google Wave will be an open forum. Secondly, we will all be able to connect in nearly real time and have real conversations.

What is the corner stone to the concept? Simply put, you combine e-mail elements with chatting online add some features to include third parties into the conversations and you have Google Wave. What impressed me? I liked the real time features of being able to see what was being typed in response to my comments, so I can begin commenting (like a real conversation). Also, I liked the ability to enter into a conversation and interject my notes on previously written comments. Finally, I loved the premise that the note, conversation or ongoing dialogue will wait on my computer until I am prepared to respond. Put it all together – Google Wave meets all needs.

So what are we waiting for? Google Wave is still being developed and will take several more months before we can all get stated. But believe me “the Wave is coming soon to a computer near you”.

To see why I and others are so impressed click here: Google wave presentation.

In the mean time- we’ll all keep blogging, twittering and opening e-mails! Ahh, the split second soon to be antiquated world of High speed e-mail.

MORE REAL(ALITY) DAMGAGE

If you didn’t agree with my article about Susan Boyle – then read this follow-up article and let’s see if that hard-head of yours doesn’t start to crack with common sense. American’s love a train wreck and TV Exec’s have no problem giving the public exactly what they desire. Yeah, SO, what’s the next point? They point is “no conscience” on the real damage of Reality TV.

Guess who is going to be exploiting their eight children this up-coming season? Jon and Kate + 8, well of course that train wreck is continuing. Their children should completely enjoy watching the clips from that show, about as much as --- Danny from the Partridge Family and Ricky Nelson of Ozzie and Harriet along with a multitude of other dysfunctional child-actors.

Can we have the envelope please ….. Ok, so the envelope was opened about 2 months ago but the Official Announcement has been made as Octomom will have her completely dysfunctional family on permanent DVD for her kids to watch in another 10-15years. Does anyone in TV world ever get a good nights sleep, or are their values just permanently anesthetized?

Enough said on this specific issue of conscience – the real issue of how does a professional publicist deal with a scenario within a very controversial issue? Here are a few ideas when you and your firm is forced to face controversial issues.

a.) Always acknowledge there are tough issues and compromises and you have to make a decision.

b.) Outline methods and parameters established to make sure that any adversity that grows from the short-end of your decision will have limited impact.

c.) Present your thought process and belief; that given the opportunities your are offered you have made a heat felt, decisive pro-active decision and you will monitor the impact.

Adaptations of a decision can be evaluated in the future.

In the case of these families and their decisions I would recommend a child psychologist be at the home of theses Reality Shows to evaluate the ones who need help.
THE ADULTS!

Susan Boyle - a Cruel REALITY

As with the rest of the WORLD, I too was amazed, moved, astonished and uplifted by the dynamic voice and presence of Susan Boyle. Are you noticing the real issue? It's all about me or you, the audience. The truth is, as is the case with any celebrity it is always about entertaining the audience, after all that is the definition of ENTERTAINERS. So what is the issue with Susan Boyle?

The answer is really quite simple and one that has been repeated consistently in all branches of entertainment. The individual is not prepared. Not prepared for the instant notoriety. Not prepared to take over the No. 1 rating spot. Not prepared for the Paparazzi, not prepared for those who are suddenly compelled to intrude upon their space or feel obliged to make personal comments. The truth is ..... the public, press, media producers and TV Executives will not change. However, Preparing Reality show stars for the potential impact is within their capabilities. But then again, why would they stop a train wreck when they know what that will do for the ratings.

Question my perspective? Do these names mean anything to you - Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears,Dennis Rodman, John McEnroe, Princess Diana and the list goes on and on. But at least these Celebrities had some warm-up before getting into the limelight. They were experiencing different levels of fame as they moved forward with their careers. But not Susan Boyle ... and this is the Cruelest Reality of all!

Having said all this ... I am still really glad I was able to hear her sing. Yup, I am a fan and I thank you Susan Boyle.
